united states patent

It is official! Kevin now has a patent on the hanging flashlight he created as a new product for GRIP. He is an inventor! How cool is that? The patent term is 14 years, so he has exclusive rights to the product for that length of time. We are so proud of him!

The United States of America
The Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office

butterflies

On Tuesday the boys and I went to the Meijer Gardens to check out the butterflies. We met up with our neighbors, whose son, David, is a good friend of both Koby and Ky.

The boys were really hoping to have a butterfly land on them, but unfortunately could not stay still long enough for that to ever happen.

We were able to see quite a few different species of butterflies. Here are a few that I was able to snap a quick shot of:

but, I think these were the coolest butterflies of all...

I don't dance

So the boys rented High School Musical 2 from the library this week and have spent a lot of time acting out scenes from the movie. Last night, they performed the scene on the baseball diamond at Lava Springs where the cast sings and dances to the song, "I don't dance". Dressed as a batter and a catcher they danced, sang and chased one another around the room, but most importantly took a little time out to allow me to snap a few shots of them. They take their acting VERY seriously!
